Meg is a junior in Ohio University's Retail Merchandising and Fashion Product Development program. She loves to help with displays and look for store merchandise here at Mountain Laurel!
The Story of Mountain Laurel
In 2005, Pamela and her husband Brian bought what was then called Mountain Leather & General Store. The store had been a favorite part of the Athens community for over 25 years. Since then, we have redisigned the store and increased our product variety, but we still offer fine silver jewelry and leather items for which the store was first acclaimed. It is most important to us that we maintain a high quality of product, service, and selection.
Creations from local artisans, home decor, soaps and lotions, housewares, toys, jewelry, leather, accessories: Mountain Laurel has it all, but where it really shines is in the quality and rarity of its selection. You won't find it anywhere else.

Celia has been a true Bobcat since 1975! She has been at the store for about 17 years, and started working when it was still Mountain Leather and General Store. She thinks being on Court Street is great! She likes being in a place with four seasons and constant change. She likes that the store has a lot of seasonably changing merchandise, and working personally with old and new customers is her favorite thing to do!
Emily is a recent graduate of Ohio University's Games and Animation major. In her spare time, she loves drawing, adventuring, spending time with friends and family, and making video games. Her favorite parts about working at Mountain Laurel are helping customers find that perfect gift and discovering new treasures daily!
Constance Sabo is in the junior Acting Studio at Ohio University. She loves working in a place that always smells great with plenty of treasures that she can spend her paycheck on!
